Favorite Looks at the Oscars 2017 Awards

Monday, February 27, 2017
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel did his thing hosting the 2017 Oscars award show! A humorous awards show with ideas Kimmel would include on his own midnight talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. The red carpet was graced with celebrities wearing the most beautiful, elegant of designs. Here's a few of my most favorite looks at the Oscars.

Ruth Negga
Ethiopian-Irish actress, Ruth Negga, looked divine in a custom victorian-inspired, Valentino gown. She glowed on the red carpet and you could not help but admire her alluring look. To top off the dress, she wore a headpiece made of Gemfeilds rubies designed by Irene Neuwirth.

Emma Stone
I suppose Stone wanted to be in sync with her nomination for La La Land, which won awards like crazy throughout the night. Her Givenchy haute couture dress screamed "DANCE, bitch!" The details on this gown is phenomenal. The layers of tassels on this dress had me dying to see Stone jazz dance as she received her Oscar for Best Performance.

Janelle Monae
Janelle Monae killed the Oscars with this dress from Elie Saab's last couture collection. Monae is known for often rocking men's pieces, so this was a huge thing! The embellishment on this dress is to die for. With a bejeweled headband to match, she stole the show. Shoutouts to her stylist of four years, Maeve Reilly. Also, congratulations to Monae on an amazing job in Hidden Figures and Moonlight.

Viola Davis
Oscar winner, Viola Davis, for Best Performance by an actress in a supporting role for Fences blew us away in Armani Privé. Scarlet red definitely suits her beautiful skin. I was sold by the off-the-shoulder design that gathered at the neck, along with the small train. Don't get me started on the chic pixie cut!

Hailee Steinfeld
I remember gasping at how Hailee Steinfeld rocked Ralph & Russo effortlessly. She looked captivating and angelic in the romantic, flower embroidered gown.

Chrissy Teigan
Teigan went for an elegant and sexy look! She dominated the red carpet in a white Zuhair Murad gown with intricate gold beading, a floor-length cape, and high slit. YES!

Teraji P. Henson
Hidden Figures leading actress, Teraji certainly came to slay at the Oscars awards. The star stepped out in a slim fit custom velvet Alberta Ferretti gown. Teraji was fierce but elegant in this dress which showed off her slender silhouette. The slit was an amazing plus along with her dazzling diamond neckpiece.

Octavia Spencer
Absolutely stunning in Marchesa, Octavia Spencer swayed across the red carpet. Nominated for Supporting Role for her outstanding work in Hidden Figures, Spencer was the silver belle on the red carpet. The beautiful feather details gave me heart eyes.

Brie Larson
If I were a man on that red carpet, I'd totally try my luck with Brie Larson. Wow! What a dress. Larson looked gorgeous in an elegant yet edgy dress designed by Oscar de le Renta. The luxurious velvet fabric and floor sweeping ruffles gave off a total romantic babe vibe.
